Building Microservices Release Details
Posted on Feb 4 2015
So the date is drawing near, but after just over a year of work on the book, Building Microservices should be available in the US shops on or around the 18th of February, with the final ebook already available direct from O'Reilly. If you can't wait that long, or would like a chance of winning a free copy, my company ThoughtWorks is offering a draw for one of 50 free copies when you register to download a sample chapter from the book.
For those who prefer their words delivered electronically, the ebooks O'Reilly offer are DRM free and support a number of formats, including Kindle-friendly .mobi
. You can even set it up to have O'Reilly push new versions into Dropbox for you if you wish!
The vagaries of local distributiors and supply chain challenges means that the exact availability dates in different parts of the world may vary. If you're living in here in Australia right now for example shipping direct from O'Reilly in the US is eye-wateringly expensive, so I'd suggest checking booko for the best deals. For those of you who manage to source the book in locations who often struggle to get the latest releases like India, China and Africa, please let me know if you find good local distributors and I'll make sure to let people know about them.
Unfortunately the release date of the print version of the book means I won't have any copies to give away when I speak at microxchng in Berlin later this month, but there should be plenty of copies around once I get to Boston for O'Reilly's Software Architecture Conference in March.
For those of you who want to order direct, or grab the ebook, or read more about the book itself, then this page can help you out.
I'm looking forward to finding out what you all think about it!
